High Definition Blu-ray video images are five times clearer than standard definition DVDs. In addition, the video is shot is widescreen 16:9 aspect ratio, so you will see one-third more video on your widescreen TV.
The audio is captured in Dolby Digital Surround Sound to create the most life-like audio possible.
Even if you don’t own a high definition TV or player, your video will appear clearer in the standard definition (SD) copies that you are given, and the sound will be much crisper and cleaner.
Blu-ray discs have a surface that is five times harder than a DVD, so there are fewer chances of scratches.
